Office Manager

Joshua Schroeder

Joshua is a graduate from Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah with a Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Services Administration.  Joshua has been in the medical field for over 7 years as a manager at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas as well as a firefighter/paramedic with a local fire department.  Joshua comes to us with a large array of experience and certifications including the highly sought after Six Sigma certificate.  He is a licensed firefighter/paramedic as well as a BLS/CPR instructor and an EMT instructor.  Joshua possess valuable management knowledge and advanced organizational skills acquired through his work with different specialties.

Joshua comes to us with a large customer service background and wants to ensure that each and every patient gets the best care possible. He is concerned with the outcome of each appointment and will ensure that the patient and family feel welcome and have a positive experience with A Bright Future Pediatrics.

Joshua enjoys spending time with his wife and boys in his spare time and volunteers as a local scoutmaster with Boy Scouts of America. He loves the outdoors and traveling with his family.  He makes a great addition to our office, and we are excited to have him working alongside us.

Nursing Department

Our nursing staff is caring, knowledgeable, and (most of all) fun. They are committed to treating our patients and family members with compassion, dignity, and respect. All staff members will maintain absolute confidentiality regarding any information they may receive in the course of your service with us.

Wendy Call, Medical Assistant

Wendy Call

Wendy Call received her medical assistant diploma from Provo College in Utah and has over 18 years of experience in the medical field. Her genuine compassion for children and sunny disposition provide a calming atmosphere of comfort that our patients delight in.

When she’s not at A Bright Future Pediatrics, Wendy loves to spend time with her two sons, Jadon and Slater, and is now the new football manager for her younger son’s team. She also loves to run and is currently training to do six half marathons per year!

Megean Mekins, Medical Assistant

Megean Mekins

Megean has been one of our dedicated medical assistants since 2013. A graduate of the medical assisting program at Remington College, she is a nationally registered certified medical assistant with 5 years of experience in the pediatric medical field. Her outgoing personality and sense of humor are a unique addition to this already charismatic, tender hearted and fun-loving team. Megean strives to take care of her patients and make their visits with us memorable and as fun as possible.

Megean spends all of her free time with her family at the baseball fields, where her son and daughter play, and she serves as volunteer member on the board of directors.

Front Office

We are very proud of our front office staff. This cheerful, understanding, and upbeat group collectively brings many years of healthcare and customer service experience to our office. We pride ourselves in recognizing that each child and adolescent is an individual, and we customize our plan of care to meet those individual needs.

LaToya Martin, Front Office

LaToya Martin

LaToya is one of our friendly and bright front office faces. She has pediatric experience as well as an associate’s degree in psychology, sociology, and medical assisting from Tulsa, OK. She relocated from Oklahoma in 2014 and has been with our front office staff since then.

LaToya brings intelligence and enthusiasm to ensure our patients always feel welcome. Her charming smile is what starts our patients off on a fantastic visit.

LaToya enjoys spending time with her daughter, who plays soccer, and she loves being a PTA soccer mom. She also enjoys reading, traveling, and having fun.

Billing Department

Our business office staff is highly trained and current on the latest changes in insurance information and medical billing/coding guidelines. Our goal is to create an atmosphere that is comfortable for patients to discuss these issues with confidentiality and respect. These staff members are available during normal business hours to answer any billing questions our patients might have.
