Well-Child Visits Plano, Texas

Why Choose Us Take a Tour
A Bright Future Pediatrics

The first two years of your child’s life are marked by amazing growth and development, and it’s important for your pediatrician to monitor them closely. That’s why there are so many scheduled visits within the first 24 months. At 3 years of age, pediatric visits become annual until age 21.

At A Bright Future Pediatrics in Plano, Texas, our pediatricians will assess the physical, mental, behavioral, social, and emotional growth and development of your child at each visit, as well as check vision and hearing. We will be on the lookout for any developmental delay or disability, as early diagnosis and treatment can lessen the impact on your child and family.

In addition, our pediatricians will listen to your questions and provide age-appropriate counseling on topics such as safety and injury prevention, discipline, nutrition and exercise, learning and education, and much more.

Visit, Vaccination, and Screening Schedule

You can expect to see us for routine well-child checks at the following ages, which will include the vaccines and screenings listed. Our pediatricians follow the schedule of well-child visits as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP):

* VEP (Visual Evoked Potential) is a neurologic test that allows us to screen for Amblyopia (poor sight in one eye).  It will be performed once a year on children from 6 months – 8 years.

We also administer vaccines and immunizations according to AAP recommendations. Learn more about our philosophy regarding vaccines and the recommended immunization schedules.

In addition, we offer Tdap vaccines to parents to help prevent the trasmission of pertussis to your child.
